Lancaster Heating and Cooling repairs commercial heating and cooling equipment for offices, plazas, restaurants, medical buildings and multi-unit properties across Hamilton, Halton and Niagara, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Whether it’s a rooftop unit that stopped cooling on the hottest day of the summer or a unit heater that quit on a January night, a licensed technician comes as quickly as possible.

Equipment down now? Call 905-388-3333.

What we repair

  • Rooftop units: no heat, no cooling, short cycling, tripped safeties and failed parts. See rooftop units.
  • Split, ductless and heat pump systems in offices, server rooms and additions.
  • Unit heaters in shops, warehouses and garages.
  • Boilers and circulator pumps. See boilers.
  • Commercial water heaters, tank and tankless. See water heater repair.
  • Gas lines to commercial equipment. See gas line services.

We service all brands, not just the ones we sell, and have fast access to repair parts from all manufacturers to keep downtime short.

Repair or replace?

On older equipment, the cheapest repair isn’t always the cheapest choice. If a unit keeps failing, we’ll look at its age, condition, repair history and efficiency, and give you a straight answer. When replacement makes sense, we can plan it properly, crane lift and all, instead of rushing it. See rooftop unit replacement.

Fewer emergencies next year

Most breakdowns start as small problems: a worn belt, a dirty coil, a failing part. Spring and fall inspections catch them before they shut you down. See commercial preventive maintenance.

Commercial repair questions

Do you offer emergency service for businesses?

Yes. We're available 24/7, 365 days a year, for heating and cooling failures at offices, plazas, restaurants, medical buildings and multi-unit properties. A licensed Lancaster technician comes as quickly as possible, day or night.

Do you service commercial HVAC equipment from other brands?

Yes. Our licensed, factory-trained technicians service all brands of commercial heating and cooling equipment, including rooftop units, split and ductless systems, unit heaters and commercial water heaters. We have fast access to repair parts from all manufacturers to keep downtime short, and we'll give you an honest assessment of older equipment, whatever its make.

What should we do while we wait for a technician?

Check the thermostat or building controls first: the right mode, a sensible set point and, on programmable controls, the right schedule. Check that the breaker or disconnect for the unit hasn't tripped, and don't reset it more than once. If you smell gas, get everyone out of the building and call 911 and the gas utility from outside.

Our unit keeps breaking down. Should we keep repairing it?

Repeat failures are worth a closer look. We'll weigh the unit's age, condition, repair history and efficiency, and tell you straight whether another repair or a replacement makes more sense. See rooftop unit replacement.

Can our older equipment still be repaired?

Usually, yes. One exception to plan for: older units that use R-22 can only be serviced with recovered or reclaimed refrigerant, which makes major refrigerant repairs costly. In Ontario, refrigerants must be handled by certified technicians, and ours hold the Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) card. See new refrigerant regulations.

What Our Commercial Clients Say

Serviced our restaurant serval times. One of the service calls was a repeat issue from the past and they didn’t charge us for it. Finding skilled and honest service providers is nearly impossible these days. Lancaster has earned our trust for years to come!
