Heating and cooling in Burlington homes

Burlington’s housing ranges from 1950s bungalows near the lake to 2000s homes in Alton Village. According to the 2021 Census, about 34% of homes were built between 1961 and 1980, making it the city’s largest group of homes by age.

  • 1960s–1970s neighbourhoods (Brant Hills, Mountainside, Dynes, Longmoor): many homes are on their second or third furnace. When replacing, check the ductwork and consider a hybrid heat pump system.
  • Lakeside neighbourhoods (Shoreacres, Roseland, Aldershot): humid summers make dehumidification and well-sized air conditioning worth it.
  • Newer north Burlington homes (Millcroft, Headon Forest, Alton Village): service plans keep equipment efficient and under warranty.

Are You Considering Transitioning to a Heat Pump System?

Whether you’re in Aldershot, Tyandaga, Roseland, Brant Hills, Millcroft, Alton, or downtown Burlington, we can provide heat pump systems to suit your needs.

What Our Customers Say

Couldn’t recommend Lancaster more. We got quotes from three different Burlington/Hamilton-based home comfort companies to replace our AC and Furnace (one of which was part of a larger group of companies). Cassandra from Lancaster was the most helpful of the three, and did not try to pressure me into a purchase on the spot (unlike some of the larger companies which offer a discount if you sign on the spot and will call their manager in front of you to try to get a further discount that they know they can already provide). Installation team showed up on time and were very professional and respectful of the house. Very meticulous and the team did a great job in minimizing the footprint of the furnace unit and running new pipes and lines to conceal as much as possible. Overall extremely happy with Lancaster’s service and highly recommend them.

My elderly parents’ a/c failed in their Burlington townhome during a heatwave early this month. Temperatures were close to 40 degrees. I called Lancaster and spoke with Sara, explained the situation, and she was able to have one of their technicians, Rob, come the same day and check the air conditioning. It was the capacitor, and Rob replaced it that afternoon. My parents were VERY happy to have their a/c back on and couldn’t say enough good things about Rob and the service he provided. Highly recommend Lancaster Heating and Cooling.
