Lancaster Heating and Cooling installs, maintains and repairs furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, water heaters and indoor air quality systems for homes and businesses across Kitchener, from Downtown Kitchener and Westmount to Doon. Kitchener is about 70 km from our Hamilton office.
Heating and cooling in Kitchener homes
According to the 2021 Census, about 49% of homes in Kitchener were built before 1981 and 47% are single-detached.
- Hot summers and cold winters: temperatures in Kitchener can top 30 C in summer and fall below -20 C several times a winter, so when an older furnace needs a furnace replacement, a cold-climate heat pump or hybrid system is worth comparing, and may qualify for rebates.
- Apartments and mid-rises: about 15% of Kitchener dwellings are in buildings of five or more storeys, and owners and property managers can turn to our commercial HVAC team for rooftop units, ductless systems and maintenance.
